Another Trip

I finished up the edits for book 3 over the weekend and shipped them off to my editor, who should be getting them tomorrow with any luck. I am glad to have it completed ... I hope. The book still needs to get her seal of approval before it moves on to the next stage, which is copyedits.

I also signed and shipped my latest contract off to my agent. It's hard to believe that I am now working on my third contract for Eos. The first was a 3-book deal while the second contract was for a novella for the anthology Unbound. You'd think after writing 3 books and a novella I would begin to feel a little more comfortable in this world, but I still feel like such a newbie fumbling her way through. I guess it all comes with time and practice.

In the meantime, I'm off for a day trip to New York City tomorrow for a media blitz for my day job. I have a TV interview scheduled with Bloomberg, a video interview at Forbes, and a print interview at Reuters. And then I fly home again. It's going to be a very busy day. But that's okay. I like busy days and I love busy days in New York.

Looking ahead, plans are slowly coming together for the New York comic-con trip in February. I don't know what my publisher has planned, but it sounds like we're going to be keeping a brisk schedule. It's also going to be my first comic-con so I am getting excited about going! It's going to be so cool and even better since I'll be surrounded by friends.

Dottie,

I talked to my editor and it sounds like it will be a little while longer before the cover can be released. Probably not until February.

Thanks!
