We have been busy! With the upcoming release of a new series, I decided that it was time to redesign the website. I didn't do the designing because I don't have a talent for it. However, I did provide the content, because I'm pretty good at the whole writing thing.
Would you like to read deleted scenes, short stories, and extra details for the Dark Days series?
Would you like to read new behind-the-scenes details for the Asylum Tales?
Would you like a complete list of all the places where you can find me?
Check out my newly redesigned site! www.JocelynnDrake.com
If you've contacted me about helping to promote the Asylum Tales, I will getting back to you today as I try to organize a blog tour for The Asylum Interviews: Trixie release in September. I'm also hoping to get some writing done. (Fingers crossed)
Also, just 15 more days until The Asylum Interviews: Bronx is released! Fifteen more days until you get to step into Low Town! I think you're going to love it! I can't wait! (I'm using too many exclamation points!! Help!!)
Okay, I'm better now. We've got two more weeks.

Baby's Got a New Look
I'm still technically broken. My wrist and hand are still causing me pain, but not as much as they used to. I'm not wearing my brace like I'm supposed to, but I just can't type with the damn thing. Luckily, I go see the bone doctor next week and he can give me final clearance. **Fingers crossed**
In case you missed it, I have officially posted the cover for Pray for Dawn, which just looks awesome. For a peek, just scroll down to the previous entry. You don't want to miss it. I expect that I will be posting the cover for Wait for Dusk in the next few weeks since the release dates of the two are only a month apart.
Also, if you're interested, I have posted a countdown widget on my Blogger account for Pray for Dawn. We've got less than 91 days until the release. It still sounds like a lot, but it's winding down.
In the meantime, my website designer and I have been busy little bees. We've completely re-vamped my website so that it not only has a completely different look, but it also contains piles of new goodies. You haven't seen it yet?!?!
Stop by www.JocelynnDrake.com !
Check out new character sketches, music playlists that remind me of the characters, essays, and even some deleted scenes that I dug out of the scrap pile. This website demands exploring!
I am still searching out the site for bugs and little typos so the site is going through some minor tweakage, but the vast majority of the content is there. Enjoy!

Back to the Grind
It's time to get back to the business of working with Mira and Danaus. I took a few days off and had the enjoyable chance to play with a special project that will probably take me the better part of a year to finish due to my other deadlines. However, I'm in no rush to finish it at this point. I'm more interested in furthering the story in the Dark Days series.
Tonight, I start the task of revisions. With any luck, I will get at least 3 chapters done (but I'm not going to hold my breath). I honestly don't know how long it's going to take until I get in there and start mucking around.
In the meantime, I did have a few updates completed to the website.
I now have a contact me page that is accessible off the author bio page. It includes links to all my blogs, networking sites, discussion board, and even an email address.
The gallery page has been updated to include my pictures from the 2009 New York Comic Con. In a few weeks, I'll be adding pictures from my Florida trip to the Romantic Times Booklovers Conference.
The gallery page also includes both of my new videos.
There is also a link off of the Dayhunter page that now includes the Chapter 1 excerpt if you haven't had a chance to read it. And don't forget that if you haven't pre-ordered it, you better hurry. The book is coming out in roughly 21 days!!
Finally, I have posted a second video that addresses some of the questions that I recently received from my readers. I hope you enjoy it.
Wish me luck! It's time to get busy revising.

A Mixed Bag of Goodies
I've got just a quick mixed bag of goodies tonight. First off is just a quick reminder that Vicki Pettersson's newest book, The Touch of Twilight, is now out. This is the third book in the positively fabulous Zodiac series. If you haven't already, be sure to run out and get this book tomorrow!
Second, be sure to stop by my website. I finally have some new updated pages added. I have added a backgroup write-up for nightwalker Tristan along with a short story narrated by him. I have also added information about the Coven, the Liege of the nightwalkers, and Aurora, Queen of the naturi. There are also a few new pictures in the Gallery and a couple new Urban Fantasy links in the Links section.

Web Site Update
I'm currently making finishing up the last of the edits for Book 2 and preparing for my friend's visit (Happy Dance!).
In the meantime, I am happy to report that my brother completed some updates to my web site! The layout of the Gallery page has been tweaked with a couple pictures added. Also, 4 essays written by my main character, Mira, have been added to the site. So, if you're looking for some more information about the world I created for the Dark Days series, head on over to my site, www.JocelynnDrake.com . I will be adding some more pictures to the Gallery page when I get back from the RT convention in a couple of weeks.

Not Dead Yet
I'm sorry about the extended radio silence. The personal crisis that I mentioned last week is slowly being worked out and my life is steadily approaching normal once again. While many of the people I've met and become friends with during the past few years would vehemently argue with me, I have to say that I am an introvert at heart. And when bad things happen, I withdraw from the world so I can work through it all on my terms.
But before you can fire up those concerned emails and well-wishes (which I greatly appreciate, don't get me wrong), all is fine. My family and I are fine. My cats are fine.
Another reason I've not blogged much is because I've not actually written two words of fiction in a week. I think that is seriously starting to eat away at my sanity. Too many hours away from my work starts to wear on me. Gotta be writing. Always writing.
However, this weekend wasn't a complete waste. I have ordered a new set of business cards with my blog and web site address on them for next month's RomanticTimes conference. I also ordered a set of post cards with information about Nightwalker printed on it. I plan on placing them on the promo tables for people to pick up. Time is winding down. We're just about 4.5 months away from the release. I need to spread the word far and wide!
I also worked with my brother on my web site. It's actually been out, live on the Internet for close to a month now. But it's had bugs and we've been tweaking little things. There isn't anything to it graphically yet. My concern was just getting the important information out there for readers. Yet, we've got most of the bugs fixed now and we are turning out attention to getting Google crawling it. Of course, as we were working on the site this weekend, my brother informed me that he plans to completely redesign it later this summer. (To this I simply shrug; he's the one with the web smarts. I'm just a writer)
But.... if you're interested in learning a little more about me and the somewhat twisted world I have created go to www.JocelynnDrake.com . My goal is to add at least one new informational page each month leading up to the release. I'll be sure to post a heads up here when the page goes live.
