My weekend proved to be productive, if not overly ambitious. I didn't get all the flowers planted, and with gray skies promising to stick around, it may be a while before they hit dirt in the yard. The spare bedroom is partially painted and I'm liking the color. Of course, I keep finding random smudges of pain on myself. And somehow, I managed to make some progress on the short story. I think I've reached the halfway mark, which means I could be running short instead of long. I would rather it run short so I can add more fun goodness (yes, that's a technical writing term) to it.
Also, as a pre-release gift to myself for my first book, I bought tickets to an upcoming Foo Fighters concert. My youngest brother and I will be attending the concert. And oddly enough, due to our respective schedules, it's the weekend before the launch and it's up in Pittsburgh. Doggone it! I'm going back to Pittsburgh. What are the odds?!? But it's worth it. Dave Grohl is a genius and Foo Fighters is freaking awesome to see live.
In other random news, I may not be blogging much this week as I have offered to have my family over for Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately, my house is not prepared for any kind of entertaining. I have lots of cleaning, shopping, and other things to do ahead of this coming weekend and I'm beginning to question my sanity.
Just as a heads up, be sure to check back near the end of May. I am planning another giveaway when we hit the two-month mark for the countdown until Nightwalker's release.
