Radio Silence

When I started my blog, I vowed that I would adhere to the adage that “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.” It’s not that I’ve not had anything nice to say recently, it’s just that I haven’t been able to bring myself to speak. By nature, I am an extremely private person so blogging is not something that comes easily to me. Some days it’s a struggle to find something witty and interesting to say, and many times I know that I fail miserably at the witty and intelligent part.

At the moment, I am working on the edits for BURN THE NIGHT: book six in the Dark Days series. It is consuming my attention for the most part as I try to decide what stays and what goes. This one has been my most difficult revision and I feel that it’s going to take a couple tries to get it right. There’s a lot of balls up in the air with this book and I’m struggling to keep everything going.

In the meantime, I have been “under the weather” for the past few months. It’s an old and long-term disease that I’ve have since I was young. Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. The only thing is that it tend to exacerbate my reclusive nature so blogs may continue to be sparse for the time being.

In just a few updates: I will be at New York Comic Con on Friday, October 8 for a panel on werewolves vs. werecats. It’s going to be a lot of fun. I will also be doing a book signing that day from 4-5pm with Jeaniene Frost and Marjorie Liu. Come visit me if you are going to be at the conference.

Also, if you are a lover of Rachel Vincent’s Shifter series, don’t forget to run out and purchase a copy of Alpha, which was officially released to the shelves today. You don’t want to miss out on this book.

I understand the need for privacy. It's odd-- I feel like something's missing if I'm not writing each day, but sometimes that doesn't include writing in public, if that makes sense. I just like to know that you aren't buried under your pages, wondering if anyone misses you:) Maybe because I recognize how easy it is to become a recluse. Next time just post a line or two so we know you are hanging in there. Cussing is okay. *snort*

Have fun at the convention, and take care of yourself.
