My brain is still a bit fuzzy and I occasionally have trouble remembering what day it is, but I am slowly getting back to normal after all of my recent travels. I am back from the Romance Writers of America conference in Orlanda, Florida with a pile of goodies. I don't have a pictures to show for my trip as I forgot to grab my camera when I was out and about. But then, do you really want to see me smiling next to a pile of books? I didn't think so.
I'm still trying to catch up on email and other work assignments at the moment, so my fingers are crossed that it's going to be a productive day. In addition, the edit letter for Book 6 of the Dark Days series is going to be arriving soon so I've got to batten down the hatches for that one as well. Revising Book 6 should take all of August and maybe even a little bit of September. Let's hope I get it right the first time.
In the meantime, I've decided that I need to run a contest to kick off my arrival home again. I received a stack of six romance novels from the RWA conference that I know that I won't have time to read. They look to be five contemporary romances and one historical romance. I'm not going to tell you the names. Mwahahahaha! It's just going to be a mystery box of unsigned books that you receive in the mail.
Are you interested in getting some fresh reading? I thought so! Just leave a comment in this blog entry before the end of the day on Thursday, August 5. Don't leave your email address (this is protect you from spammers). The contest is open to domestic and international readers. I will announce the winner on August 6. The winner will have one week to contact me before I draw a new winner.
Also, if you haven't already, don't forget to pick up your copy of Wait for Dusk! The book is out now and it answers the cliffhanger left by Pray for Dawn. Furthermore, I will be running contests later this month for both books if you are interested. So stay tuned for more goodness!
