The progress that I thought I was going to make on Book 6 has not happened. The doorbell rang early this morning as I was typing in my first article of the day. The UPS man had dropped off the First Pass edits for Pray for Dawn. Yes, this is my final edit for Book 4 and I have to admit that I'm kind of looking forward to it. I loved writing Pray for Dawn. It has some of my favorite characters and favorite scenes in it. Not to mention that I am hopelessly in love with the narrator. I've got two weeks before these edits are due back to my publisher, but I'm going to push through and try to get them done in under a week so that I can get back on schedule with Book 6.
In the meantime, it's been a busy day. I got up, took my car to the car wash, worked out, worked my dayjob, and now completed some editing on Pray for Dawn. I've just got to get some work done for my website before I can call it a day. My fingers are crossed, but I'm thinking that we're going to be able to relaunch the website with all kinds of new goodies by late April to early May. I'm already in love with some of the graphics that I've seen for the site. It's going to be fun to play with this stuff again.
I'm hoping to close the night with a little Trivial Pursuit on the PS3 and/or a movie. Both sound wonderfully relaxing.
To brighten your weekend, here's a very quick video!
