Contest Round 9: Jackie Kessler

Happy Monday!
And to those that celebrate it Happy Labor Day!
I hope you have the day off work and are able to lounge about reading good books. I am not. I'm off work, but I'm going to be spending the day hopefully writing a good book. I've once again finished the line edits for Book 4, and I'm back to working on Book 5, with the hope of finishing it by October 1. Wish me luck!

In the meantime, we've got another book to give away in this week's round of the Contest Extravaganza. Yes, this is the contest that just wouldn't end. We're gonna keep going until November!

This week, we're stepping away from werewolves, vampires, and witches. We're jumping into superheroes with Jackie Kessler and Caitlin Kittridge's Black and White! The book I am giving away will be signed by Jackie Kessler.

Here's a quick description of Black and White:

"It's the ultimate battle of good versus good.

They were best friends at an elite academy for superheroes in training, but now Callie Bradford, code name Iridium, and Joannie Greene, code name Jet, are mortal enemies. Jet is a by-the-book hero, using her Shadow power to protect the citizens of New Chicago. Iridium, with her mastery of light, runs the city’s underworld. For the past five years the two have played an elaborate, and frustrating, game of cat and mouse.

But now playtime’s over. Separately Jet and Iridium uncover clues that point to a looming evil, one that is entwined within the Academy. As Jet works with Bruce Hunter—a normal man with an extraordinary ability to make her weak in the knees—she becomes convinced that Iridium is involved in a scheme that will level the power structure of America itself. And Iridium, teaming with the mysterious vigilante called Taser, uncovers an insidious plot that’s been a decade in the making…a plot in which Jet is key.

They’re both right. And they’re both wrong. Because nothing is as simple as Black and White."

Sounds awesome, right? Something a little bit different for the mind? Interested in winning a copy? Leave a comment in this blog entry to throw your name in the hat.

But first, here are some quick rules:
Leave your name and a comment in this blog entry.
Do NOT leave your email address (This is to protect you from spammers)

The winner will be drawn on Sunday, September 13, 2009
The winner must contact me by Sunday, September 20, 2009 or the book will be put out for another contest.

Hi, Jocelynn! Hi, everyone! I am getting ready to come home from Dragon*Con - saw tons of superheroes here, as well as Princess Leia in drag and Doctor Manhattan in a suit. :) Looking forward to signing a copy for the lucky winner!

Hi :)
Thank you very much for this great contest.
I have wanted this book for a while now, but both my bookstores in my dinky town do not carry and will not order BLACK & WHITE (not without an extra 8.00 'ordering fee').
I'll order it online eventually when I have extra $.
'Till then I desire it from afar.
:)
All the best,
