Shiver me timbers! It's nearly Talk Like a Pirate Day! So, drink up, me buckos!
Okay, I'm done, I swear. But this is just a reminder that tomorrow is officially Talk Like a Pirate day. That means you need to talk like a pirate, walk like a pirate, drink like a pirate, and dress like a pirate. (Act like a pirate, and you might go to jail! Swear like a pirate and your mother will wash your mouth out with soap.) I probably won't be blogging tomorrow so I wanted to mention it now so you don't forget!
The reason I won't be blogging tomorrow is because I will be taking part in a Road Rally! Whoo-hoo! I have been looking forward to this for more than a month and I didn't think it would ever get here. This is my first ever road rally and I am so excited. It's going to be great. It's held every year by The BMW Store of Cincinnati, Ohio and its between the Mini Cooper and the BMW Z4. My brother (who also serves as my graphic designer and web site designer) will be my navigator and assistant through the race.
Also, the best part? I just received my Flip camera so we will be videoing parts of the race in honor of the car chase scene that takes place in the opening of Dawnbreaker, which is slated for release on September 29. I've got my fingers crossed that we manage to get some good video clips for you to enjoy.
In the meantime, I chipping away at the fifth book in the Dark Days series. I'm down to the last handful of chapters, which is always nervewracking. I see that I'm getting close to the finish line and I just want to get it all done in one sitting, even if it is completely impossible. If I keep at it, I've got about a week's worth of writing left to do, which is a good thing since the book is technically due on October 1. However, I may ask for a couple days extension so I can read it over once and clean it up just a little bit.
I'm currently sitting on what will probably be one of my favorite chapters. I have locked Mira and one of my favorite characters in a room and I'm interested to see what happens. Well, I know the events that are supposed to happen, but I'm curious to see how they interact in order to get that event done. It could lead the series in an interesting new direction. Hmmmm....
Finally, don't forget that I will be giving away a signed copy of Night's Cold Kiss by Tracey O'Hara. Saturday is your last day to enter the contest. Please scroll down to the contest blog entry and leave a comment.
