Where'd the Time Go?

This is just a quick reminder, my lovelies, that today is the last day to get in on the drawing for the City of Souls by the amazing Vicki Pettersson. If you've already started this series, then you realize what a great addition to your collection this will be. If you haven't started this series yet, WHY NOT? The Zodiac series is amazing, standing out as something truly different within the urban fantasy genre. And if you've already got City of Souls, you could always be a part of the "Share the Love" program. Keep the signed copy and give your gently used copy to a friend, getting them hooked on the Zodiac series.

If you'd like to enter the contest, scroll down to Monday's blog entry and leave a comment before midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight.

So, where have I been? Well, I can say nowhere interesting. I've been catching up on some odds and ends of work, but not getting the writing done that I need to. Unfortunately, that means that I will be playing catch up this weekend. I've sworn that I will buckle down next week, budget my time, and work when I'm supposed to work. I will hit my deadline with no problem, I promise.

On a positive note, I did meet (on the phone) with my editor. We brainstormed for a while, and she (being the brilliant person that she is) came up with amazing titles for Books 4 and 5. Unfortunately, I can't reveal them just yet. I am still waiting to hear if they have received the approval of the marketing and sales department. Yes, that's how it works in the publishing world. Just because you and your editor come up with amazing title and cover ideas doesn't mean you're going to get to keep them. No, it all needs to be approved by the marketing, sales, and art departments. We also have some pretty cool ideas for the covers of Book 4 and 5.

Typically, we don't do cover conferences for two books at once. However, as you may have guessed, we're hoping to do something a little different for Books 4 and 5. We're hoping to do a back-to-back release of those books sometime next summer. That is why it is so important that I hit my deadline for Book 5. We're in a tight time schedule and there isn't much room for error.

But enough rambling from me. Time to get back to work. And it's time for you to enter the contest. Just scroll down and leave me comment.

Auurgh, next summer! That seems so long but back to back releases would be great!
