I am happy to report that the snow here is melting. Temperatures edged up to 50 degrees today, melting away big chunks of the snow. I will admit that the snow and the ice covering everything was beautiful, this fantastic winter wonderland, but I'm more relieved to see that the roads are finally clear.
I finished the edits for the novella this weekend and they've been shipped back to my editor. Yeah, me! In the meantime, I have to start planning for the upcoming New York Comic Con. I will be there Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8. I will be taking my camera along and taking as many pictures as possible of the amazing sights that I'm sure I will be seeing. Right now, I have the odious task of diving into my closet and finding something to wear to this shindig. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will be taking my business suits. Not much fun, but at least I won't have to worry about what I'm wearing. I can focus more on the nonsense coming out of my mouth.
And for the news everyone has been waiting for, the winners of my cover flats contest are:
Yolandafetsos
Malicque
Jackie M.
Please email me at Jocelynn DOT Drake AT gmail DOT com, sending me your name and mailing address. I will drop the flats in the mail as soon as possible. Keep your fingers crossed. I just ordered some new magnets as well. I will try to include those in the mailing as well.
And in case you were worried. Winning a flat does not keep you from potentially winning any of the other contests I will be holding leading up to the release of Dayhunter on April 28.
Finally, keep checking back. We will be rolling out my new Web site this week. I think my brother has done an excellent job and I can't wait for you to see it.
