I want to thank everyone who has left a kind, supportive comment regarding the cover of Dayhunter. I'm so glad to hear the people like it as much as I do. She's a beautiful cover for what I think is a beautiful book. Don't forget that you still have until midnight, Saturday, January 31st to enter my cover flat giveaway. Please click here and leave a comment.
In the meantime, I want to address some of the questions that have come up in the comments fields.
Yes, this one will have a metallic finish like the cover for Nightwalker.
I have not received any advanced copies yet for Dayhunter, but if I receive enough copies I will be running a contest to give away however many that I can. Keep an eye out for the contest. With the book due out April 28, I am hoping to receive my advance copies sometime in February.
Finally, to all those who have been suffering in the snow with me, my heart goes out to you, particularly my Canadian readers. It sounds like you were hammered with some serious accumulation.
Moving off topic from the comments left in the blog, we're going to take a look at my website. We're doing a redesign and we should be launching the new website within the next few days. As you will notice, the site includes several essays and a handful of biographies. This is your chance to tell me if there is anyone from the series that you would like me to write a biography for. I will pick one and include it with the launch of the new site (and it just might include a secret or two). Or maybe it's not a person you want to know about, but a group or a facet of the world, which could appear as an essay.
So, in the comment field, tell me who you want to know about from the book or what you would like to know more about. I'll pick something this Sunday and try to quickly turn out some more information for you.

Hello, Ms. Drake. I'm Jamie, from Nashville, and was made aware of your work by checking out Kim Harrison's website. I love the new book's cover and look forward to reading your stories. About this weather from the past week, I was working in the Eastern Ohio area and had to, literally, chisel the snow from my rental car! Pretty crazy stuff... but, strangely enough, incredibly beautiful. Could there be some kind of message in this wather about 'evil things have their appeal'? (grin) Take care and stay warm.
I would like to know more about Danaus, if it's not too spoilery. :-) If nothing else, how do you pronounce his name?
Hi Jocelynn,
I too would like more information on Danaus, we all know he is very old or at least Mira thinks so, and the brotherhood he belongs to. I've read all the biographies on the Dark Days website, a lot is available there. I had to do something while trying to find Nightwalker. Also a quick thanks for all your hard work.
Thanks,
Dottie
I would also like to learn more about Danaus' past, if possible. He's a very interesting character!
