A Good Day

It was a good day for edits. A few days ago, I blogged about how I had an unexpected moment of inspiration as I was falling to sleep one night. Well, I finally got to write that scene today and I think it turned out as good as I had hoped it would. The scene does a good job of giving insight into exactly the type of people two of my characters are, what they are capable, and also some nice insight into their past.

I think there are moments for every author when they look back at a particular scene and think “damn, that’s some good stuff.” Unfortunately, those tend to be the scenes where I also think, “damn, if I wasn’t a writer, I’d need to be in therapy cuz this is some twisted stuff.” That’s why I love my job so much. I get to be as dark and twisted as I want to be and I get paid for it. Heck, my editor in encourages it!

Well, I’m heading back in for some more edits. In case you haven’t popped by Rachel Vincent’s blog today, hurry over because she is giving away my last and final ARC of Nightwalker. Sign Up Now!

Hi Jocelynn~

I have already stopped by Rachel's blog and entered. I am so looking forward to this book. I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed.

I am excited that your scene came out so well. That must be an amazing feeling.

I'm almost bouncing with impatience. 2 weeks left! TWO WEEKS! WOO-HOO! I remember when you first got the countdown for your book, it seemed like so far away!
