Quick and Random Updates

Have you got your copy of Rogue yet?

Rachel Vincent's newest book is awesome. I got a sneak peak a month ago and loved it. And not just because it's got my car in it. (Just teasing) But seriously, the book was fantastic and it's a nice break from the vampires. Yep, even I need a break from vampire every once in a while. But only a short break.

As a side note, I stopped in my local Borders and picked up a copy. It was nice to see that they not only had several copies on the shelf but also in the center display with several other new releases. Can you spot it in the picture below?

In other news, I've shipped my contract back to my agent and I'm planning to dive into work this weekend. I've been extremely busy with work this week so I haven't gotten much writing or planning completed.

I have gotten some other items done. I ordered new business cards, I completed a series of essays that will be loaded to the website soon (I hope), and I did receive my promotional postcards this week. They don't have the cover on them, but they provide information about the book as well as some fantastic author quotes I've received. One reader requested a copy. If anyone is interested in one, please your name and address to my email address at JocelynnDOTDrakeATgmailDOTcom (replace DOT and AT with the corresponding symbols). I will be happy to mail some out.

And it's been a while, but I've completed another refrigerator poem. Here is the image below.

I'll admit that I like my last one better. I guess I just wasn't feeling as inspired. This one is just on free verse.
In case you can't clearly read it:
"Run with me
Feet barely hitting the water
a cool wind blowing on my skin
whispering dreams of rain"

You are one heck of a poet you know that! I simply adored this verse as it was filled with softness like lavender silk on my sould.

Anyways I am keeping your e-mail address so that I can e-mail the interview questions to you. This will happen around the weekend. So you know.

I love your refridgerator poems! And thanks for the plug. I'm so glad you liked Rogue. ;-)

Woo-hoo the postcards are in! I'm sending you an e-mail right now :D

I love that poem. I definitely need to get a set of magnets for my fridge next year, so I can write poems and random things about the woes of college.

Ha! Hunger can make you really creative. I stand in front of the fridge and I'm not allowed to get food out until I come up with a "poem".

Thanks for your positive comments!
