What Are Those Writers Up To?

Since I’ve got nothing interesting to report other than I am still working on my edits. Yep, I’m down to the last 80 pages. It WILL be done before I go to bed tomorrow night.

But anyway, here are what a few other writers are currently up to:
Rachel Vincent is explaining how she keeps all her characters straight through using a spreadsheet. I think I need to have her show me her spreadsheet when I see her in April. No matter how hard I try, I can’t remember the color of Tristan’s eyes.

Gena Showalter gives a glowing book review of Meljean Brook’s “Demon Night.”

Vicki Pettersson is doing a little Q&A over on her new blog. Be sure to check it out. It is a really kick ass layout and design. Oh, and she’s got some good insight as well into the publishing world too.

So, she’s not exactly a writer, but Executive Editor for Eos, Diana Gill posted a great blog entry a couple weeks ago about what it takes to hook the attention of an editor. I would definitely check it out.

Jeri Smith-Ready gives a great review of a book called “Him Her Him Again The End of Him” by Patricia Marx, which she calls an anti-romance. Also, I’ve decided the Jeri (who I actually got to briefly meet at last year’s RWA) is now one of my favorite people because she has a wonderful post about a grocery store that has a basic respect for the English language. (Don’t get me started. I’m convinced that civilization is crumbling around us because people not longer have a basic respect for the English language or grammar, in general, and we’re just one misplaced apostrophe away from crawling back into the slime from whence we came…. But I digress.)

Maybe you could draw Tristan? Or a circle with the right colored dots for eyes that has "Tristan" written above it?

Of course, then you have to find a way to remember where you put your Tristan stick-figure... so maybe a spreadsheet is a more effective method.

Err... my drawing skills leave a lot to be desired. I don't want to scare myself or anyone who might stumble across it. Thanks for the suggestion.
