Monday didn't prove to be as productive as I would have hoped. The weekend was a mixed bag. I was down with an ugly case of writer's block Saturday and then came back with a flurry of new words on Sunday, almost making up for the completely unproductive Saturday. On Monday, I managed to sneak in some new words, but not quite as many as I would have liked. I have high hopes that I will be able to make up for lost ground today since I don't have a personal training appointment until 6:30, giving me a vast expanse of afternoon time to type. Fingers are crossed. I'm running out of time and need to get this book put to bed at last.
In the meantime, all the prizes from my recent contests have been officially mailed out. With any luck, everyone should be receiving their prizes in the next week if not sooner. I am looking around at my goodies to see what other contest I could run. I do have a large stack of German editions of Nightwalker copies. They gave me a few more than I was expecting and I can give some away if anyone is interested in owning a unique version of Nightwalker.
In the good news column, I became an aunt for a second time on Monday. My brother and sister-in-law had their second baby girl on Monday. She was 9 pounds and has the cutest chubby cheeks. Mom is doing wonderfully. If all goes well, they should be bringing her home later this afternoon. They have a wonderful 2-year-old daughter who is still getting adjusted to this new presence, but she seems to be taking it all in stride.
But enough fun for one day. It's time to get back to work. I've got a book to finish, a website to tweak, and other social networking sites to update. Also, be sure to stop by my message board. I've been secretly dropping random quotes from Pray for Dawn and Wait for Dusk on the site to tease readers. Go take a peek!

Ooh a German edition of Nightwalker! That sounds fabulous and I don't even speak German, but to have something different would be cool. I'd like one!
It was great meeting you at RT. I've told everyone I know I had lunch with you and Jenna and Devon!
Aw, congrats to the family on the newest addition!
9 pounds, NINE! I just love babies with chubby cheeks, especially when I can hand them back for all the messy stuff:) (Mine are 10, 15 and 16 now.) It's like *cuddle cuddle kiss kiss* they start crying "Oh, here you go, she wants mom or dad now!" BAHAHAHAHA
On to the message board!
It was great to have lunch with you Jessica.
Thanks for the congrats!
I totally agree. I love my nieces to death, but I love the fact that I can give them back when they start to cry.
That's how I feel with my little niece too! She's almost 1 and 1/2 now but there are still moments when I call for her mommy!
It's fun to be the aunt because you can be there for the fun stuff and when it comes to the hard stuff you just call in the parents!
