Dark Days Ahead

Sorry I haven't been around much recently. My Internet connection at home has been somewhat sketchy recently and I'm lucky if I can catch an opening to read my emails. Answering is pretty much out of the question at the moment, but if you're expecting something from me, I can assure you that it will be arriving somewhat soon. Yeah, how's that for an answer?!?

I've recently had a nice break. Sure, I've been plotting out Book 5, but I haven't actually put any words down on paper. You see, I haven't officially received my revision letter yet, just some notes. While it's a starting point, I've been hesitant to jump completely in, especially since it sounds like I will be re-writing the entire first chapter, if not more. So far, it sounds like the plot and subplots might be good. This time around, it's character development. Yeah, if it's not one thing with me, it's another. I'm such a troublemaker.

However, without Book 4 settled in my mind, I've been reluctant to jump fully into Book 5. It's not completely plotted out yet, but that's only another day or two of work. I will admit that I have started the first chapter. I've known how the book was going to open for quite a while, so it felt safe to at least start the book.

Looking at the opening and the outline for the book, I have to admit that this one is going to be dark. Well, I know, all the books are kind of dark, but this one really delves deeper into the nightwalker psyche and it ain't a pretty place to dwell. As a result, blog entries during the writing process for Book 5 may be dreary as well. I may need to lean on my readers for the occasional pick-me-up. You've been warned. :)

Hi Jocelynn!

Thanks so much for Dayhunter, I have a copy on order, if it ever gets here *frustration ahead*, it seems I have to wait weeks for my orders to arrive, should have preorder, next I'll know better. That's what happens when you live in a rural community that doesn't even have a bookstore. I was ecstatic to receive this copy, and signed! I'll let you know when I have a review up, so far it's great!

I know book 4 will go through edits quick, and book 5 will be fantastic. I can't wait to get a peek into the nightwalker psyche, so keep us posted...who wouldn't want to know what's going on in there, what makes Mira and the others tick. It's going to be fun.

Dottie :)

Hi Jocelynn, this is from a avid reader from Panama, Central America, when I started reading it it took a me a while to warm up to the book but after page 50 i couldn't stop so I'm looking forward to read the second book (my dad is in Puerto Rico, he's bringing me a copy). So do please continue the good work, and know that you have a fan in my little country. So if you need to lean on us, I'm so cool at the pep talk! :).
