Book Reviews and a New Title

Things seem to be picking up speed now as we get into the last days before the release of the Nightwalker. I've sent some updates into my HarperCollins microsite and I've also sent in the final edited version of book 2 into my editor. It's nice to have that at least temporarily off my plate, though I'm sure it will be coming back to me soon enough for another round of edits.

In the meantime, the reviews continue to pour in and I'm overwhelmed by how much people are enjoying the book. I am so glad to hear that people are connecting with Mira and Danaus. They are the loves of my life and I'm hoping the world falls in love with them as well.

Over at Darque Reviews, the reviewer commented that:

"Nightwalker is an enjoyable read, and an exceptional debut novel. Ms. Drake has created an intriguing world of supernatural beings and added threads of mystery, action and vampire politics to tie the past to the present. I’ll be watching for the next in the Dark Days series."

Meanwhile, Amberkatze's blog has the comment:

"With Nightwalker, Jocelynn drake has broken the mold in more ways than one and I liked it. Pick this up if you crave something that hasn't been done and isn't predictable. I am looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for Mira. "

Also, I just completed an interview with The Book Smugglers, which will be posted to their site next week along with a review of Nightwalker. I'll be at the RWA conference at the time, but I will try to post a link to the interview when it has been posted.

And for the curious, it is now official. The title of book 2 in the Dark Days series is Dayhunter and it is currently slated for release in May 2009.
