I'm taking a little time off tonight. I got a lot of editing done this weekend and tonight I fell into a little movie watching. Yes, one of the greatest movies of all time is on tonight! The Princess Bride. Whoo-hoo! I've been watching this movie since I was a kid and I think I actually love it more I watch it instead of growing tired of it. It's one of those movies that if you're flipping the channels on a Sunday afternoon and see it on, you have to watch it for at least 15 minutes.
So I have a new game planned for tonight. I will name my top 3 favorites movies of all time along with my favorite lines. Your job is to name another movie that should be on my list. We're talking a movie that you would pack for the "I'm going to be stuck on a desert island and have room in my suitcase for only one DVD" kind of situation.
1. The Princess Bride
Greatest line: "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
2. Young Frankenstein
Greatest line: I really can't choose this one. I know the entire movie by heart and can recite it. But my father and I will recite this bit of dialogue on a regular basis:
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Igor, would you mind telling me whose brain I did put in?
Igor: And you won't be angry?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: I will NOT be angry.
Igor: Abby someone.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Abby someone. Abby who?
Igor: Abby Normal.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Abby Normal?
Igor: I'm almost sure that was the name.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?
3. The Godfather
Greatest line:
Michael: My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.
Kay Adams: Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don't have men killed.
Michael: Oh. Who's being naive, Kay?
Okay, so what other two movies should be on my list to make my top 5 of all time greatest movies?

Love it!
1) Little Big Man
2) Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
What's this I hear about you getting a top pick in RT? ;-)
I just stumbled across the posting myself over on Urban Fantasy Land. I'm so freaking out of it, I blame the edits. I think I'm still in a state of shock! Holy crap...
Inigo Montoya owns my soul!
You should take Gone with the Wind: so many good lines:
- I will never be hungry again!
- Frankly my dear , I don't give a damn!
- Tomorrow is another day!
Classic.
