Finished Projects

It has been an extremely productive weekend. I am very happy to report that I have finished the rough draft of my Novella for the upcoming anthology. It's a little short, but I figure that once I finish the edits, it will come in significantly closer to my goal word count. My contract specifies something between 15,000 and 25,000 words, so I don't currently have anything to worry about.

The other side project I had going was painting my spare bedroom. With the help of my mom, we managed to put the second coat of paint on the walls today and the spare room has now been transformed into a sitting room, where I hope to get a little reading done (ha!). Well, a girl can dream can't she. The first picture below is of the room before the paint job. The second picture is Harely's form of "helping." The third and fourth pictures are of the finished room. I still need to get a second bookcase to hold all the books that I've acquired recently.

Also, there has been a request to see my new haircut, where I lost about nine inches. Below is a sort of "before" picture taken at the RT Conference in April and the second picture is the "After" shot that was taken at my parents' this weekend.
