Quick Update

My show is on! Happy Dance! I love Ghost Hunters. So, I’m a dork. I love this stuff. Growing up, my family was always telling stories about ghosts and UFOs. I can’t say whether I believe in that stuff. I just like to say that I believe in possibilities…

In other news, my agent just finished reading Book 2 and she liked it, she really liked it (this was announced in a sing-song voice while dancing in my chair). It now goes through one last edit before being shipped off to my editor next week. Fingers crossed.

After that, it’s back to the short story, for which I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that the story I had planned has been put aside. A quick talk with my editor and she sent me in a new direction. However, the original story is not dead. I like it too much, so after I get Book 3 written I’m going to try to sneak in that short story before my next assignment.

Now the good news, I immediately got an idea for the short story that I will turn in. Whoo-hoo! What’s more, the short story has been almost completely plotted out. Most of the time, I won’t bother to outline a short story, but I am very worried about writing something so short. I outlined it with the hope that it will keep me on task, though that doesn’t guarantee to keep me within my world limit.

So, the 2,000+ words that I’ve got finished have been put aside. But I can’t update the word counter. I have written some, but it’s gonna be scraped, because I’m tweaking the opening scene … again. This will be the third re-write for the opening. Though, oddly enough, the opening line has not changed. I am very, very picky about my openings. Very picky.

Well, since I’m not being very entertaining tonight, I’ve decided to provide a video. Since a mean cat bit me yesterday, I’ve decided to post my all-time favorite cat video. I know I’ve posted this one before, but damn it, this is my blog and this video always makes me very happy.

I never say that one coming in the cat video. Oh god, I laughed ad I laughed. Nice one.

Anyways I am glad that everything is going according to plan.

Wow, that is totally my cat at 3am every morning! Then, to reward me for feeding her so early, she steals my pillow!

Yep, that's my Harley too. She hasn't used a baseball bat on me.. yet. However, she does lay on me and put her paw on my face.
