I’ve been given a brief reprieve. I heard from my editor and she was sick over the weekend, so my edit letter has been delayed until the end of the week. I now have time to finish painting my kitchen. Whoo-hoo! Yeah, I’m a lucky chick. Unfortunately, it’s a double-edged sword. While I may now have time to complete a few personal items, my deadline for the final, final draft of NIGHTWALKER isn’t moving. That’s okay. I thrive under the pressure.
I also have a trio of white pines and a pair of knock-out rose bushes that need to go in the ground. I just feel guilty planting them in this horrendous heat that we’ve been suffering through recently.
On another personal note, I am now an aunt! My younger brother and his wife just had their first child, a beautiful little girl. I’m still hoping that her brown hair will develop a little red. There’s a distinct shortage of red heads in the world.
